The fifth edition of the UK’s only art fair dedicated to contemporary prints and editions – MULTIPLIED – returns to Christie’s South Kensington next weekend (17th – 20th October).
Taking place during Frieze Week, forty of the world’s most esteemed galleries will be taking part in the Fair, which will feature prints, photography, digital art and artists books. Some of the top London galleries that will be present at MULTIPLIED include Marc Quinn, London Print Studio, BEARSPACE, Flowers Gallery, Whitechapel Gallery and Paul Stolper Gallery, whilst exciting new talent from leading graduate institutions such as the Slade School of Fine Art, the Royal College of Art and the University of the Arts London will also be showcased.
Works by established contemporary artists will be exhibited, including pieces by Damien Hirst, Gary Hume, William Kentridge, Sarah Lucas, Daido Moriyama, Cornelia Parker, Yinka Shonibare, David Shrigley, Gavin Turk and Rachel Whiteread.
The Fair’s events programme will see panel discussions and artist talks take place, with the line up for the latter including Yinka Shonibare MBE in conversation with Iwona Blazwick, Director of the Whitechapel Gallery; Sir Peter Blake (RA) in conversation with Alastair Sooke; Marcus Coates in conversation with Gavin Everall, Editor of Book Works; and Horst: A Photographer of Style by Susanna Brown, Curator of Photographs, V&A.
Live printmaking sessions, in association with Rabley Contemporary and CFPR Editions, will also be held during MULTIPLIED. Traditional and 3D printing techniques will be demonstrated in front of a live audience.
