The Royal College of Art is a renowned postgraduate art and design school and its premises in Kensington are where students study and work. The College does also put on a number of exhibitions, with lectures and workshops (including ones for kids during summer) also taking place.
Saatchi Gallery FREE

Opened in 2008, this wonderful gallery is housed in a marvellous building with exhibits displayed in over 70,000 square feet of space. Its main aim is to showcase contemporary art from young or unknown artists, both British and international. There’s also a wonderful cafe/restuarant – Gallery Mess – on site for some post-gallery viewing relaxtion.
Serpentine Gallery

Technically just outside Kensington & Chelsea, this is a wonderful gallery in a wonderful location in Kensington Gardens, that we have to include it here! The gallery is home to some wonderful prestigious exhibitions (all on a temporary basis), and talks and education projects also take place.
