I had the pleasure of visiting the Baglioni Spa at the Baglioni Hotel recently to take a look around this little piece of tranquility and calm in an otherwise normally very bustling part of Kensington. The Hotel itself is located on Hyde Park Gate – directly opposite Kensington Gardens and close to the Royal Albert Hall and the Albert Memorial, whilst the spa is tucked away in a quiet space at the back of the hotel.
Entering the spa through some rather grand doors, to say that it’s like being transported into another world isn’t too far from the truth! The spa is just as smart and luxurious as the hotel itself, although once you pass through the front doors, it does feel like you’re completely away from the general hotel environment as well as the busy West London streets outside.
Open to all visitors – not just hotel guests – the Baglioni Spa is in fact part of the Stoke Park group, offering up a little bit of their magic right here in Central London.
The spa’s four treatment rooms cover a very wide range of spa and salon treatments, from massages and facials, cellulite busting treatments, sculpting and firming wraps, plus more regular salon offerings such as waxing, manicures and pedicures in the nail suite, and spray tanning. The spa also features a couples room that’s perfect for his-and-hers treatments, or great if you’d like to share a special spa day out with a friend!
There are a numer of facial treatments are available, with something for each skin type – whether you’re looking for a deep hydration treatment, intense nourishment or are looking for something to help with those pesky wrinkles around the eyes. In particular, the 55-minute “Breath of Fresh Air” facial – with its euphoric massage and gel mask – is the perfect treatment to combat the pollution of London. Meanwhile, the seven different massages on offer include the wonderful 95-minute Terraké Tailored Massage, which will also seek to target any specifics you may have – whether you’re interested in anti-ageing benefits, relaxation, detoxification or other.

Just off the spa is the 24-hour gym featuring a good selection of workout machines and equipment, for which it’s possible to obtain a gym membership for. However, what may be of interest to those who like their regular spa treatments is the news that there’s also a spa membership on offer, where a yearly fee will see you receive either two hours or four hours of treatments per month.
The spa also has plenty of special packages on offer – with new packages introduced regularly – that are perfect to treat yourself (or a friend or family member!) to some pampering.
