Excellent local website Kensington Mums is calling upon all local mums and dads to get into the spirit of giving this Christmas – that is, giving to those less fortunate than many of us and who are in need at this time of year.
Dina, the lady behind Kensington Mums, is asking local residents to donate cared for and loved items, including children’s and adult’s clothes, shoes, toys, books and the like – any items that can help a local family. She’s putting together hampers of donations for several charities in the local area, especially aiming to help children and families in need.
If you have any items to donate, or would like any further information, please contact Kensington Mums at firstname.lastname@example.org with subject line ‘Christmas in need’.
Donations must be made by 14th December 2013 at the latest, and must be placed in a plastic bag. Please label your donation with a sticker or tag to suggest the suitable age group and/or gender of your donated items, as this will help when the hampers are made up.
Additionally, Kensington Mums is also looking for volunteers to help put the hampers together and deliver them before Christmas. If any Kensington Mums and Dads are free on 21st and 22nd December, please also get in touch with Kensington Mums at email@example.com.
Please do donate any items you can to help those less fortunate this Christmas.
