Spirit of Peace<\/a> and London and District Unitarians<\/a> will be inviting the local community, including families, to come together at the Kensington Unitarian Church for a joyful evening of music, storytelling and participatory artwork, as part of the Mayor’s Community Weekend. This is a return of the team following a successful event in Kensington last Winter with the theme “Celebrating Diversity.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be contributions from visiting artist Hanna Yaffe<\/a> (singer and storyteller from Jerusalem), Julia Aaisha (musician and founder of Unity Music), Catriona Alderton (art counsellor and co-founder of Art Journeys), and Heather-Jane Ozanne (facilitator and CEO of Spirit of Peace). This multi-faith team has many combined years of experience building bridges between minority and majority communities, using the arts to create a space for positive connection,\u00a0and using the arts therapeutically for wellbeing. The evening will be based on hopeful and uplifting themes. Attendees will be invited to join in with some songs, and Catriona Alderton will lead a participatory art activity for those who choose to take part. Light refreshments will also be served.\u00a0
