Cactus Blue

A bar with a beautiful modern design. One of my crowd's favourite, we spent a pleasant few hours in this packed place. Recommended by several guides, including the Time Out Guide to London. Good selection of food too.

The Crescent
99 Fulham Road London SW3 6RH

Stylish and modern wine bar located at Brompton Cross, one of the most exclusive restaurant areas in London. Smallish ground floor with more space in the basement. Friendly, knowledgeable barman. They have a selection of 250 wines and they sell a wide range by the glass. The London evening paper, the Evening Standard, says "The Crescent has one of London's ten best wine lists." The Zagat Guide confirms this by commenting that it has "a fantastic wine list".

Dome Café

A chain of over 20 cafés, which are also licensed to sell drinks without serving food. Although these appear all over London, this one is supposedly special as it is frequented by local celebrities. Nevertheless, it is a pleasantly relaxing cafe with an assortment of drinks and good food on offer.

Very popular hangout in the local area, this large bar can get heaving on Friday and Saturday when its open til midnight. There's also a large beer garden - perfect for summer drinking. (Try the jugs of Pimms!)
