We
love London
Hi!
My husband and I will be in London from 10/17 - 10/27.
You have a wonderful site. Thank you for such detailed
info about the area. We are staying at a hotel on Hyde
Park Sq. In 1995 we visited with friends in Winchester
and would take the rail into London. We fell in love with
the city and decided this time we would
spend as much time as possible trying to see London. I
have bookmarked your site. Thanks again for your
information.
Shelia, USAOur standards are high
Dear Anna
Thank you for including us on your website we are very
grateful. May we point out that we will always try to keep
our prices down however our standard is very high for a
budget hotel and it may be worth mentioning
our higher quality. we have a website this is: http://www.webscape.co.uk/swiss_house/
Many thanks once again.

No reservation
necessary
One time we flew to London on 24 hour notice and arrived
with no English money, no hotel reservations and no
transportation arrangements. When we exited the customs
gate in Heathrowe we walked 50 feet to our right and
found a Cashpoint (the same as our ATM). We carry a debit
card in order to avoid credit card fees and used our
debit card to obtain 150 pound of English money. We then
walked downstairs and found a counter saying B&B
Lodging. We told the women what we wanted, which was,
something safe, clean in a quiet area, near a tube
station, with a full English breakfast (not a
continental) and we had no discomfort using a shared
bathroom. Something under 50 pound for a double. She
found several B&Bs and reserved the one we selected.
It was a 10 minute walk from Vic.. Station in a
comfortable neighborhood. After getting our room we
walked 5 steps to the London Transportation counter and
bought 2 one week passes for the inner circle. Most of
our traveling was in the inner circle and it was an
unnecessary expense to purchase anything else. The pass
required a photo of my wife and I but that was easy
enough since they had a photo booth only feet away
So, you dont need a lot of reservations .

Goring Hotel We just returned from 2 + weeks in London,

Vic. Station, but we
found the service abysmally snooty, and the price
astronomical. (quote by

We had a great time
Grazie, Anna. Thank you
for mentioning the Station Tavern in W11 and the Blues
program. We had a great time there. Big Joe Louis and his
band are first class. We went for the next two evenings
to the same place and listened to different groups, also
good. If you wish for any informations on Milano, let me
know.

Happy walkers
Anna, we had a great time
doing your Princess Diana walk and saw places we would
have normally missed. Thanks again!
