Henry Moore’s The Arch returns to Kensington Gardens

Henry Moore’s striking sculpture The Arch has returned to its original site in Kensington Gardens, and is well worth a visit. Having originally been sited (as a gift to the nation from the sculptor) in 1980, the piece had to be disassembled and removed in 1996 when it was found to be structurally unsafe. The intervening time period from then until only a few years ago saw the question raised of whether sculpture could return at all, let alone in its original place, but luckily for Kensington Gardens visitors, it has.

Read more about The Arch and its return from The Royal Parks website (which features an superb time-lapse video of the restoration of The Arch) and from The Evening Standard.
